How much does flooring fitting cost?

Fitting starts from £120 and depends on the area, the covering and the condition of the subfloor. Tell us the rooms and the covering you have in mind and we'll measure up and quote properly, including trims and underlay.

Do you supply the flooring?

You can buy your own — many customers prefer to choose the carpet or boards themselves — and we'll calculate the quantity you need including waste. Where you'd rather we handled it, we can quote to supply the covering along with the fitting.

Do you remove the old flooring?

Lifting and disposing of the existing carpet, laminate or vinyl is quoted as a separate line so the cost is clear. Old grippers, underlay and staples are all removed before the new floor goes down.

How long does it take to fit a floor?

A standard room takes around four to eight hours including preparation. A whole flat or house is usually one to two days, and stairs or rooms needing levelling compound take longer — we'll confirm the schedule when we quote.

Will you move furniture for the fitting?

We ask that large furniture and fragile items are cleared from the room before we start, since flooring can't be fitted under them. We'll happily move lighter items as we work through the room and put them back afterwards.

Flooring measured, cut and fitted to the room

A floor is only as good as its preparation and its fit. We measure the room properly and calculate the material you need including waste, check and level the subfloor, fit underlay where it's needed, and lay the covering so there are no lifted edges, gaps at the skirting or lumps underfoot. Door thresholds get proper transition bars rather than a hopeful cut, and expansion gaps are left where laminate and wood need them.

We fit carpet with underlay and grippers, laminate and vinyl, and engineered wood — in single rooms, whole floors of a house, rentals between tenancies and small commercial spaces. Because we measure first, you know the material quantity before you order, which is usually the difference between a smooth job and a second trip to the shop.
